Leslie Porterfield
Leslie is a professional motorcycle racer originally from Dallas, Texas, and she has been riding motorcycles since she was 16 years old. Leslie was named as the 2008 American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) Racing Female Rider of the Year, holds three land-speed records and is a member of the Bonneville 200 mph club. Leslie became the Guinness Book of World Records' Fastest Woman in the World on a Motorcycle with her land speed record set at Bonneville in 2008.
The trials and tribulations of obtaining her record at Speedweek were documented for the Discovery Channel show "Speed Capital of the World: Bonneville". Leslie set her first record at 209 mph (336,35 km/h) on a conventional street (unfaired) motorcycle. This record also earned her the honor of being the first woman to enter the Bonneville 200 mph(321,87 km/h) club on a motorcycle in its 61-year history.
